Gokudera x Reader: Breaking the Storm

    "GAAAAAAHH!!!" His scream echoed throughout the empty bloodstained room. Anyone that would have seen would agree that a gruesome battle had occurred just moments before.

    His eyes flew open and a hand reached to touch his own cheek.

    Tears? He never cried, he never allowed himself to. He was the right hand man of the Vongala's Decimo, it was something that just didn't seem right. To be weak and broken, it puzzled him. How much this could have affected him...How YOU affected his life. Hands that were once in silver locks now fell to his side, his eyes slowly wandering to your limp body in front of him.

And slowly...ever so slowly...he brought your lifeless body closer to him, running his hands through your _h/c_ hair.

    As tears continued to fall down his cheeks, the hand he used to run through your hair now cupped your pale cheek.He brought himself closer to your ear, somehow wishing that you might hear him. Just knowing that you were listening was good enough for him.

    "I’m glad we had the times together just to laugh and sing a song,seems like we just got started and then before you know it...the times we had together were gone," He took a shaky breath as he forced himself to continue,"A-At first...I thought you were just some stupid woman who stayed by the Tenth all the time, a crybaby and a brat...Now...Now I see I was wrong." He removed his hand from your cheek and took you in a gentle embrace.

    "You were one of the few, who was able to show emotion freely, I thought it was idiotic. How you could end up laughing out loud...after crying just because you tripped...But you showed me...You showed me the trust you put in yourself and in other people, how one should rely on the other and vice versa...You taught me things...like how to grow...you taught me...never to let go...now that you're gone...I'll hold it true...this thought...I never knew how much I wanted to hear your voice...until today..." The sound of running feet filled his ears.

    "Gokudera!" The Rain Guardian called out to the silver bomber as he and the Tsuna entered the area. Eyes that were filled of relief as they spotted the bomber, were suddenly filled with fear and sadness.

    "Gokude-" Yamamoto tried to call out for him again, to run over to him and comfort him, but the brunette's hand touched his shoulder and as he looked into the brunette's doe eyes, he knew, he knew he needed time to say goodbye.

    "And I wonder where you are and if the pains ends when you die. And I wonder if there was some better way to say good-bye." Gokudera's voice cracked as he spoke, placing a soft kiss on your forehead.
